Eagle Watch;
Just some interesting notes. On my way to the Weichert office in Milford I had the privilage of discovering an Eagle nest that is on my route to and from the office from my home. I try to stop and watch a few times a week. It is a pleasure to be on the road in the morning and watch the activity in and around the Eagle nest and after work what a great way to end the day. I have listened to the birds call each other, watched them actually build the nest larger, and have been able to capture some of this on video. WOW what a feeling. It says to me how great it is to be here and experience something so wonderful!
Eagle Watch 2007 - The Eagles are nesting I have been watching with much excitement to see the new broad. In addition I have found another Eagle nest on the same route a few miles away.
Eagle Watch - 2008 - The Eagles have returned January 19th the first sighting of the season at the same nest. I have been watching every day in January to see if the pair would return and they have. Wathcing them build up thier nest for the up-coming nesting season was wonderful! Flying overhead bring new branches into the nest and placing them, this was a sight I had never seen before in all my years of bird watching.
The picture below (left) was taken May 8, 2007 on my way to work. The Eagle is sitting on its nest. Picture below (right) was taken April 22, 2008 at the same nesting site. This year has been one of the best eagle watching years I have ever had! At this time I am watching 3 nesting sites in the area. It is very exciting, waiting to see the new eaglets.
Eagle Watch 2009 - What an exciting year this has started out to be. Almost everyday I have been able to watch eagles on my way to or back from work. The winter watch was great with a new pair of binoculars (thanks to my wife). Wow the difference. Seeing closer than ever. Quite a few times while out with buyers we were able to get some good sightings by the Lackawaxen River. My buyers were thrilled. My wife and I also discovered another nest (can't wait to see the happenings there). All the usual nest sites are occupied. It looks to be a great year again.
Eagle Watch 2010 - Wow I thought 2009 was great. 2010 is looking to be even a bigger year then 2009. January is just jumping (or in this case flying) with sighting of Eagles. The nest pictured below - the adults have returned again this year. The Lackawaxen and Delaware Rivers have had lots of activity. New pictures show a Eagle sitting taken at the Lackawaxen River and the Eagle in Flight is taken at the Zane Grey Museum.

Turkey Spring 2007

This page is dedicated to "Angel" a doe that has lived around my home for the last 9 years. She has brought joy to my family, greeting us almost everyday. Watching her give birth to her fawn, and being the "mommy" of the herd. Watching her all these years made my home a special place to live. The joy that she brought to us will be missed. She passed away on April 19, 2007.
